Two chicks hatched June 9, 2015, on a homemade platform. It was floating in the Klett Bay tied to a tree limb.
At six weeks old, they began stretching their wings and coming up out of the water. At seven weeks they started to fly. I would see them coming and going to Lake LCO. We started seeing less and less of them. Now at ten weeks, they are never on our lake. We are greatful for another successful year with two loons hatched and grown. Hopefully next year will be the same.
