Johnson Lake 2015

2016 Chicks hatched on June 6th on this floating platform. We added the new top, as somehow the old one was just gone. Without the protective cover the eagles would have gotten the eggs. As we were building it the eagles were soaring. I put on waders to attached the new top. She was most unhappy with me, however after 30 minutes she came back to the nest,

Today, June 26, the chicks are almost three weeks old and have tripled in size. Their  coats have changed to a brownish down, and they really are not quite so cute.
